Filtering Porn Down Under
So the Australian government spent $89 million on a porn filter that they thought 25 million users would download. When only 29,000 people actually downloaded and used the filter, they got wise and nixed the program. But they failed to learn the obvious lesson - Australian's don't want their internet filtered.
Instead, they are going to force the filtering to occur at the ISP level, leaving Australians without a choice in the matter.
