Senate's Latest Anti-Porn Proposal
With the 2257 regulations having taken a beating in the Free Speech Coalition lawsuit filed, it appears that the government is ready for another try at running adult website operators out of business. This time its a website labeling requirement that is meant to keep people from accidentally viewing pornographic images.
The labeling, while troublesome, isn't necessarily a show-stopper like the initial 2257 regs were. But then there's this:

Also problematic, they said, is that, in addition to the labeling requirement, Web site operators would have to ensure that "any matter that is initially viewable" does not contain sexually explicit content.
"What if someone deep links to an image, and someone clicks on that image, and it's the first one they see?" asked Marv Johnson, legislative counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union. "Has the law been violated?"
