What a coincidence that Lindsay Lohan got sent to the hospital just hours after a new year's party in Miami - with asthma.

I guess asthma is shorthand for not being able to breathe due to all the coke that was snorted the night before, or perhaps alcohol poisoning. Hey, at least she didn't crash her car again.

UPDATE: More on Lindsay's troubles from a yet to be published Vanity Fair interview wherein she admits to using drugs and to battling bulimia. After filming an episode of SNL, she says Lorne Michaels did an intervention with her to try and get her help. From the quotes includes, Lindsay sounds truly concerned with the bulimia, but not so much with the drugs - and her mom sounds like a total enabler (here's her quip about Lindsay's eating problems):

"She took it a little too far, maybe . . . but it wasn't as bad as it looked."

Gee, thanks mom. Your daughter is slowly killing herself and you think thats just 'a little too far'.
